(c) Expenses for the implementation

 

The ground expenses for the implementation, which disregard the scale of trains to be implemented, will reach to an ordered of \900 million.
As for the car expense, the number of cars will vary depending on the configuration of the train time table and also on the principle of deciding the seating capacity of the train. For instance, in the case of the car concept with sufficient elbowroom taken up in this study, in order to meet the above increase in passengers, the total car expense will be \7 billion if the expense per car is at \200 million.

 

(d) Other

 

* The completion time period required for implementing the reduction in transport hours will roughly coincide with the scheduled completion time of the project for the track rehabilitation.

 

* Beyond this stage of time reduction, possibility of study on further speed-up is described to utilize the fullest performance of the present narrow gauge line.
